These tools apply a fixed assumed rate evenly across every year. Real markets do not behave that way — they rise and fall unevenly, and the order in which that happens materially affects the outcome, particularly when you are withdrawing rather than investing. Treat the figures as a way to compare scenarios, not as a forecast.
